03. Garageman’s Liens
When a garage makes repairs on a vehicle, but the owner doesn’t pay for the repairs or fails to pick up the vehicle, the garageman may have a garageman’s lien on the vehicle under the New York Lien Law. Sometimes, the garageman’s lien is challenged in court, which can result in the loss of storage fees, loss of compensation for repairs, and/or the loss of the vehicle. The Calabrese Law Firm is prepared to answer your questions and protect your lien rights.
